Al Nakba
1998 marks the 50th anniversary of the Nakba (cataclysm). In human terms, that year saw the mass deportation of a million Palestinians from their cities and villages, massacres of civilians, and the razing to the ground of hundreds of Palestinian villages. In commemoration of these capital events in Palestine history, the Khalil Sakakini Cultural Center brings you this visual tribute.

EI is the leading Palestinian portal for information about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and its depiction in the media.

Alternative Information Center
The Alternative Information Center (AIC) is an internationally oriented, progressive, joint Palestinian-Israeli activist organization. It is engaged in dissemination of information, political advocacy, grassroots activism and critical analysis of the Palestinian and Israeli societies as well as the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.

The US Campaign to End the Occupation
The US Campaign is a diverse coalition working for freedom from occupation and equal rights for all by challenging US policy towards the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. The Campaign is based on human rights and international law, providing a non-sectarian framework for everyone who supports its Call to Action. Its strategy is to inform, educate, and mobilize the public so as to change the US role in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict to support peace, justice, human rights, and international law.

Al Jazeera
Initially launched as an Arabic news and current affairs satellite TV channel with the same name, Al Jazeera has since expanded into a network with several outlets, including the Internet and specialty TV channels in multiple languages, and in several regions of the world.

Palestine Solidarity Project
The Palestine Solidarity Project is a Palestinian-led project dedicated to opposing the Israeli occupation of Palestinian land through non-violent direct action. PSP is envisioned as a project dedicated to supporting Palestinian communities resisting the Israeli Occupation.

Wooden Shoe Books & Records is a 501c3 non-profit organization and collectively-run anarchist bookstore. We carry thousands of book titles as well as music, pamphlets, 'zines, t-shirts, buttons, patches and more. We frequently table at political events and punk rock shows. We have continued to sponsor our own events and have brought in such speakers as Howard Zinn in October, 1998 and Gary Webb, author of Dark Alliance:The CIA, The Contras, and The Crack Cocaine Explosion, in June, 1999.

Qumsiyeh: A Human Rights Web
Mazin Qumsiyeh, PhD was born to a Palestinian Christian family in the Shepherds' Field and splits his time between the USA and Palestine. He served on the faculty of both Duke and Yale Universities (six and five years respectively). He served on the Steering/Executive Committees of a number of groups including Peace Action, the US Camaign to End the Occupation, the Palestinian American Congress, Association for One Democratic State in Israel/Palestine, AcademicsForJustice.org, and BoycottIsraeliGoods.org.
