    January 25 and 26 Actions in Support of Gaza

    In solidarity with Palestinian and Israeli peace activists.

    Saturday, Jan. 26, relief convoys will depart from four cities in Israel and go to the Erez Crossing, an Israeli checkpoint preventing people and supplies from entering and leaving the Gaza Strip. On the other side of the checkpoint human rights activists from Gaza will assemble as both sides demand that the crossing be opened and the supplies be allowed through. The convoy will carry vital humanitarian supplies, with a special focus on water filters. The water of Gaza is an undrinkable cocktail of brine, sewage, pesticides and oil, with high levels of nitrates and bacteria.

    Denying basic necessities to 1.5 million people—over half of them children—and driving them to the edge of starvation in the world's largest prison camp constitutes a war crime under international humanitarian law.
